Information for 2009 Enrolments.
Unfortunately there will be no Holiday workshops this year, I have had alot of calls, so thankyou all for your enquiries....
I will be busy learning how to be a mother, my daughter is due on the 12th of December and I look forward to introducing her to all my students.
Next year we begin classes on the 2nd of March for a 5 week term, the shortest term yet! All bookings will be finalised mid Febuary, so make sure you touch base with me before then.
Term one for the Children's art groups:
All about puppets! The students will be learning how to make various puppets, from the very simple finger and sock puppets to the more intricate using modelling materials. After our puppets are made we will run a series of improvisational style sketches, where the children will become the puppeteers of their creations...... All will finally be captured on film and a DVD will be provided at the end of the 5 week workshop. *Please contact the studio for permission and/or enrolment forms.
Term one for the Teenagers:
This term the Teens have chosen their own project. In a group vote they have selected an optical art project working with geometric patterns to create optical effects, materials are simple, such as poster pens and/or paint and thick card. They will be working in a large format creating art cubes out of their designs. All levels of ability can attempt this project.

New Term Enrolments
Term 3 is due to finish on the 20th of September, this will also be the cut off date for new enrolments.
Our new Term will Begin after the school holiday break on the 13th of October.
Term 4 will run for 6 weeks, a short term in comparison to our usual 10 week term.
Pricing will remain at $23 per lesson for the Children's Art Lessons (7 to 11 yrs)
and $25 per lesson for the Teenagers Art Lessons (11 to 16 years).
Why the shorter term?
I will be having a baby in December and will need some time to adjust to motherhood. The first term for 2009 will also be a short one, starting a little later than usual.
Lisa (who most of my students know) has been assisting with my classes for the past few months
and will be looking after things as I get "too round."
Lisa currently studies Art at Queensland University of Technology and will complete her Art and Education degree over the next couple of years, she is very competent and will be a blessing when the time comes for me to take a break.
